Maple Class - Year One and Year Two
Welcome to Maple Class’ webpage.
Maple Class is our Year 1 and 2 Class, led by Miss Fortune (class teacher), Mrs McLoughlin (teaching assistant), Mrs Crout (teaching assistant) and Miss Taylor (teaching assistant).
Year 1 is a time of change as children become confident readers and demonstrate greater independence in their learning. Maple Class gives them a good foundation for Key Stage 1 (KS1) and helps them to apply all the wonderful skills they have learnt in Reception. For our Year 2 children, this is a time of exciting learning as we ensure they have all the skills and knowledge they need in their last year of KS1. We have high expectations of what all our children can achieve and provide them with carefully sequenced lessons and many different learning opportunities so that they can succeed.
Maple P.E. Days are Tuesday and Thursday.
Maple Forest School is alternating Tuesdays. The dates are on the curriculum grid below.
