Oak Class - Year Six
Welcome to Oak Class’ webpage.
Oak Class is our Year 6 Class taught by Miss Nolan (class teacher on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), Mrs Clarke (class teacher on Wednesday) with Mrs Oakley and Mrs Wood as their teaching assistants.
We love being creative using writing, music, art materials and ideas. We like using technology lots in Oak Class and have lots of tablets and iPads to help us get ready for secondary school. We enjoy visiting local secondary schools to use their facilities – last summer, we saw a Shakespeare play at Concord College and enjoy getting used to William Brookes by taking part in local sports events such as cross country festivals. We already have some sporting events planned for Autumn term at William Brookes School.
We are in our own small block with lockers and a kitchen area. We have lots of responsibilities in school but the best one is being Sports and Play Leaders to the younger children. We will be working on our Archbishops’ Youth Awards and planning a community tea for retired residents. We love sharing our learning – come to Oak Class and have a look at our great displays.
