Early Years Foundation Stage
Little Acorns Class and Acorns Class have children who are in Nursery 1, Nursery 2 and Year Reception and so working at the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Children are able to start the term after their third birthday, which gives them a strong foundation and enables then to flourish under the care of experienced and loving practitioners.
Mrs Martin the Class Teacher is an experienced EYFS practitioner and together with her team, helps children to settle into school quickly. Children learn best through play and learning opportunities which are based on their interests. We make the most of our outdoor grounds with regular Forest School sessions and lots of use of outdoor learning.
Children also become used to small focused teaching groups and whole class sessions and parents are often amazed at how well their children concentrate in school! Do look at the Little Acorns and Acorns Class page for details of their current learning.
