School Meals
We have our own School Kitchen and prepare lunch on site, at a cost of £2.60 per day (£13.00 per week). Meals are cooked on-site with a wide choice of vegetables and puddings. There is always a vegetarian option and a jacket potatoes with filling option, alongside the main meal. The current menus is always on the newsletter which you can find on the home page of the website and by the emailed link (parents and carers are emailed weekly).
School meals are free for all children in YR, Y1 and Y2. If you are in receipt of benefits please let us know. Ring the school office and chat with us. Your child is eligible for pupil premium money to further their education and if they are in Y3 to Y6 will also be eligible for free school meals. Click here to apply directly https://shropshire.gov.uk/free-school-meals/
Please pay for your child’s school meals via our online payment system. We use the School Money online payment system and the School Office can help with how to make payments.
You may wish to send a packed lunch for your child to eat in school. Please do not send drinks in glass bottles. We are a nut-free school as we have children on site with a severe peanut allergy, so please do not send any food in packed lunches which contains nuts, as your child will not be allowed to eat it, and it will be returned to you.
Children are allowed to bring in fruit to eat at break time. Free fruit is provided for YR, Y1 and Y2, as part of the Free Fruit for Schools Scheme.
Our School Kitchen is inspected by Shropshire Council yearly and has a rating of 5 (the highest) for food hygiene.
