Little Acorns - Nursery
Welcome to Little Acorn Class’ webpage.
‘Little Acorns’ is our nursery class for our preschoolers (from age 3 upwards) who are supported in play, learning and fun by Ms Brown, Mrs Crout and Mrs McLoughlin alongside the Acorns team.
We help your child have the very best start to their school journey in Acorns. They have a happy, busy and fun time at school with daily phonics sessions using Bug Club Phonics, Active Maths lessons, weekly Forest School sessions and lots of opportunities to develop their speaking and listening, numeracy and literacy skills as they play inside and outside. Caring staff support their social skills and help them learn how to work with each other and get along.
Specialist staff work with them too, including Mrs Alston from Shropshire Music Service and Charlotte, a PE Coach from Shrewsbury Town.
Parents have a log in to Tapestry, our class app where we share weekly updates of what your child has learnt, phonics so that you can support your child, alongside photos of their learning and information about school. Mrs Martin sends out weekly update emails so you know what your child has learnt and how to support them best.
Little Acorns P.E. day is Thursday with Charlotte from Shrewsbury Town Football Club.
