School Uniform

School Uniform

All children at Christ Church CE Primary School are expected to wear our school uniform. We are very proud of our school and are often complimented on our good behaviour and smartness when out on educational visits. Our uniform helps give us a sense of belonging to the Christ Church learning community.  We want children to be comfortable in school, wear clothes that support them being highly active all day and create a sense of family.  As our uniform has so many choices, children who have additional needs/sensory issues are well-catered for in the choices below but if you are worried about this, then please talk to us.  Uniform should never be a barrier to participating or belonging.

Your child does not need to wear an item with the school logo, although many children do.  Items  displaying the school logo are available to order online from Lads and Lasses https://www.ladsandlassesschoolwear.co.uk/product-category/primary-schools/christ-church-primary-school/. Other items are readily available from supermarkets at very competitive prices.

Please name the clothes your child wears to school and check regularly that your labelling hasn’t faded.

School cannot be held responsible for any personal items lost or damaged on school premises. We will, however, endeavour to prevent loss or accidents occurring.

Children should not wear jewellery to school; it may get lost and we cannot accept responsibility, but more importantly, it can be potentially dangerous when children are playing.

Make-up, including nail polish, is not acceptable in school. Hair should be neat and tidy.

School uniform may be varied for health reasons or on religious grounds in consultation with the headteacher.

School Uniform

Jumpers: Burgundy jumper or cardigan with the school logo or plain. Not hoodies.

Polo Shirt: White or burgundy polo shirt top with the school logo or plain. Not t-shirts.

Trousers and Skirts: Dark grey school trousers, dark grey school shorts, dark grey school skirt, dark grey school pinafore, plain black leggings or plain black joggers (no commercial logo).
Optional red check school dresses can be worn in the Summer.

Footwear: We prioritise the children being able to play and run around and know that school shoes can be expensive, so are happy with children wearing trainers. Trainers should be completely plain black or white without obvious coloured logos (no boots please). Alternatively children can wear plain black school shoes (no boots please).  Any shoes must have Velcro, laces or a strap (no slip ons or ballet style shoes).  Trainers must be sporty rather than fashion. Plain black, grey or white socks.

PE Kit

Children can come to school in PE kit on their PE days.

PE kit: Black or dark grey joggers, leggings or shorts, white or burgundy polo shirt and burgundy sweatshirt. We have kept the PE kit the same to our school uniform to avoid extra expense for families.
