A School Day
A Typical School Day…
7.45am onwards Breakfast Club is available in the School Hall, staffed by teaching assistants and providing food, care and fun at the start of the day.
8.30am The School Office is staffed from now, if you need to leave a message about absence.
8.40am The Children’s Entrance opens and School Staff will welcome children with morning activities and learning.
8.45am Registration (attendance after this time counts as ‘late’)
9.05am Session 1 (in most classes this is English based and for Acorns and Maple Class will include Phonics)
10.15am Break time for Acorns, Maple and Holly Classes (15 minutes)
10.30am Break time for Willow and Oak Classes (15 minutes)
10.45am Session 2 (in most classes this is Maths based)
12.00pm Lunch time starts for all. Acorns, Maple and Oak Class’ eat in the first sitting at 12.00-12.30pm with Holly and Willow Class’ coming in at 12.30-1.00pm. We are a nut-free setting. A cooked lunch is provided or children can bring a packed lunch from home.
1.00pm Afternoon begins.

2.00pm Session 4
3.15pm End of the Day and Home time. Start of After-School Clubs and our Wrap Around Care.
4.15pm End of After-School Club – Home or to Wrap Around Care (Monday to Friday)
4.30pm Wrap Around Care finishes on Fridays.
5.00pm Wrap Around Care finishes on Mondays to Thursdays.
During the day all children will take part in Daily Mile and in an act of collective worship. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays collective worship is all together in the Hall. On Tuesday, worship time is delivered in the classroom by Mark Harrington from Hereford Diocese with a theme from Church year/festivals.
