Before & After School

At Christ Church CE Primary School we are pleased to be able to offer working parents wrap around care. ChildrensworldUK is an independently managed organisation which runs before and after school clubs for our children and families before school from 8:00am and after school until 6:00pm each weekday. The clubs are located in a separate demountable building on our school site.  Ofsted rated their childcare provision ‘Outstanding’ in a recent inspection and the report can be viewed here.

The clubs are located in a separate demountable building which also serves as the pre-school site during the day. This building is secure and has its own outside play area. ChildrensworldUK are also free to use the school playground and other facilities when not in use by the school.

Childrensworld also run a holiday club throughout the school holidays to support working parents.

Clubs – After School Activities

We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities which operate after school, giving pupil a chance to take part in fun activities that stimulate their creativity and help keep them fit and healthy. We try to vary clubs, taking account of pupils’ interests so that pupils have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities during their time with us. Clubs usually run for half a term, though some operate all year.

Children can choose from creative clubs such as Lego, sewing or dance and well as sporting clubs such as multi-sports, cross country and football. Some of these activities are seasonal and are restricted to certain age groups.

Letters are sent home each term advertising forthcoming clubs and reminders are put in our weekly ‘Friday Letter’ new bulletin. Please check out our Office page on the menu for more information.

Clubs are run by a combination of school staff and outside providers and occasionally by volunteers. All personnel leading clubs or assisting in their delivery are DBS checked. There is a charge for all clubs and funds collected are used to support the continued delivery of a diverse range of clubs. Club fees must be paid in advance using our online payment system. For more information please contact the school office.
